Welcome to the MainPlace Mall! Opened in 1987 as the main indoor regional mall for northern Orange County with over 150 stores & restaurants, and 7 anchor stores with one of them currently closed from a Nordstrom. The mall is currently owned and operated by Centennial Real Estate Corporation, which is planning to expand the mall with new entertainment options & even a 300-unit apartment building. MainPlace is six miles away from Disneyland and the Anaheim resort area, located next to CA 22 at the border of Orange & Santa Ana city limits.

You can get a dress shirt you forgot at your previous hotel for your conference or get a rain jacket if you forgot to bring one during the winter storms if you are going to Disneyland. There are even stores specializing in sneakers. Kids can burn off energy at the American Ninja Warrior Adventure Park for a kids-friendly version of the show. Want to catch a movie? They also move a Picture Show movie theater. You can get a quick bite with over 22 restaurants.

The main reason I went to the mall was to go to Bath & Body Works during their Semi-annual sale where many of the soaps and scents are on sale, including ocean-scented deodorant, so I can smell like the Polynesian scene in Soarin’ Around the World.

There is also a GameStop video game store where I got three Pokémon card packs! Right now, they are having their Pro Day sale, which if you buy into or already have their Pro membership, there are member-only deals, including buy two get one free of the Pokémon Cards I bought!

Finally, if out-of-state guests want to get a Boudin clam chowder bread bowl, but are not able to go to California Adventure to get one there, there is a Boudin SF Cafe at the MainPlace Mall! There are only 27 locations in California only. This one is located at the northern end of the mall, they have soups, sandwiches, bread loaves, cookies, pastries, and even sourdough pizza. The cafes are really carbohydrate heavy but comforting. The Boudin SF cafes are counter-service with their own patio seats, restrooms, and even Wi-Fi. If you sign up for their rewards program, you get a free bread loaf each month.

For lunch, I got a pick-two combo with a half sandwich of turkey pesto on a baguette and a clam chowder bread bowl for $13.50!
