Due to needing to rest up at the mall, I missed the last direct Metrolink Orange County line train from Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo to Anaheim. To get back to Anaheim, I needed to do a transfer.

Getting to the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo station, I walked a mile on narrow sidewalks along a busy Crown Valley Parkway from the mall. After that, I filmed from there through the parking lot and into the station. I got there a bit early at 4:30 pm, so I had to wait about twenty minutes before the conductor started boarding.

Fellow railfan, @ajlagarda, messaged me about the trains on the way to Anaheim since I do post about trains. We killed time chatting about the train set before boarding and on the train ride.

From Laguna Niguel, I took the Inland Empire 810 train at 4:52 pm, then arrive in Irvine ten minutes later. From there, I transferred to Orange County line 689 to Anaheim.

I filmed the entire train ride on my GoPro, however, since it was dark out, you can’t see outside really well, especially with the passenger car lighting on.

The train ride and the transfers to the OC train went smoothly and on time. I arrived in Anaheim at 5:41 pm and is pitch dark out, which makes it the perfect to take in the full RGB color spectrum of the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center’s waiting area. It was the perfect way to end a long but rewarding car-free day, and then I walked back to my apartment.

If you staying at the hotels in the Anaheim Resort area, you can call the Anaheim Resort Transportation shuttle on their A-Way-WeGo app to your hotel, or take the Orange County Bus line 50 westbound.

Thank you for coming along with me! I have more car-free excursions from the Anaheim Resort area to run errands and to more destinations coming soon.
