On a day-to-day basis, working in hotels, if things are not on a smartphone or tablet at this point, it can make communication less efficient, take longer to get tasks done, and cause guest dissatisfaction. Such as guests needing to get their room cleaned while they are already out. They have to call guest services, which still may be backed up with calls & long lines of guests, when it is their turn, they need to ask guest services for housekeeping. Then the request is sent to the head of housekeeping via a walkie-talkie call which everyone can hear. The housekeeping manager has to stop what they are doing to take the call, then determines which is the best housekeeper to clean the room, and finally walk to the housekeeper & let them know to clean the room. There has to be an easier way to get requests done.

Many guests know about the software that hotel uses such as the property management systems to work on their reservations, but what about the software that help run things in the hotel efficiently? Quore is here to help with their suite of over thirty apps to get your hotel & staff fully connected and help make the guest stay seamless as possible.

I had the opportunity to talk with Richard Bradbury, Vice President of Product of Quore, at the Hospitality Show exhibit hall about Quore.

With Quore, the guest can text in their request to guest services for housekeeping. The front desk inputs the request to Quore, which will notify the housekeeping department of the request, and then assign the request to the corresponding housekeeper for that room cleaning. A much faster & easier way to get things done at your hotel.

Quore provides room cleaning assignments to the housekeepers, automated preventive maintenance, scheduling room deep cleaning, guest requests, and more. Everything is input on a tablet & online so calls don’t go blaring out to staff members of the hotel and into the public areas where guests can hear them. Requests from guests would get top priority since it is currently hindering the guest’s stay, and if reported by the hotel staff, it would be a lower priority.

For maintenance requests, the best person on duty with the right knowledge set for the item to be fixed would be assigned, such as a person who is certified to work on air conditioners to work on them. Preventive maintenance can be scheduled throughout the year to upkeep equipment in the guestroom, such as swapping out the A/C filter.

It is the hotel owner’s responsibility for the hotel to invest back into the hotel by keeping the furniture, fixtures, and equipment fresh to keep retain the asset value of the hotel. Quore has reporting software that owners & the hotel management company can use to give visibility about each of their hotels, what needs to be worked on, and what they should they invest in for their hotel.

With Quore, the hotel can provide what they & the guest need to get tasks done quickly, and efficiently, increase guests’ satisfaction, and get reports to make the right choices for hotel managers & owners. Consider getting Quore for your hotel today!
